Instead of enticing you with OUR words, we thought we'd entice you with the words of our contributors...

I've never had an "editor" before, other than high school teachers and college professors.  This is FUN!  I want to do 10 rewrites!  Just kidding.  I'm committed to an uncompromisingly FABULOUS finished product, not my own pride or ego in getting to it.  I am really enjoying this!

Thank you for the opportunity to share my work.  It has been a great experience.  Thank you for everything.

Thanks for your support and allowing me to put my work "out there" in your online magazine.  It's pretty exciting for me to be published for the first time.  I can't wait to see the new issue in November!

You did such a great job editing this and giving me awesome feedback. Thanks for doing that and for being so flexible...even when I was being a flake :-) Thank you for allowing me a space to express myself...I LOVE THAT!

So what's stopping you?

We are always looking for fresh stories from real life on ANY subject. We will only accept previously unpublished, original works of prose and poetry. Short comments and reflections upon the current issue’s theme are also welcomed. Please submit your ideas or finished drafts to "submissions at berealmag dot com". We are always happy to review your ideas and readily offer suggestions. 

We do not pay any money for submissions, but we do give out lots and lots of encouragement to all of our contributors!

We Love Artists and Photographers!!!

We want to see your original artwork!  Dust off your camera and go out into the world and snap some pictures!  Pull out your paints and brushes and create a new masterpiece!  Submit your original, previously unpublished photos and/or artwork as scanned images to photographers@bereal.com.

We do not pay any money for submissions, but we do give out lots and lots of encouragement to all of our contributors!  

Visualize This!

If you have a wish or a goal or a dream and you can take a picture of it (or draw or paint an image of it), send it to Be Real Magazine and make your wishes visible and REAL.  This column is here for you to create what you want to have happen in your life.  If you see it, you can believe it!

Moody Girl
A moody girl has many moods, of course, and ALL MOODS ARE WELCOME HERE!

Write a Moody Girl piece of your own.  If you need to rant or rave, if you need to empty your heavy heart of painful things that have happened, you can do that here.  If you really need to say something Bold & Sassy or LOUD and SCARY or tiny and secret,  please send it to us!

Firsts
Would you like to share your experience of doing something for the first time?  It doesn't have to be daring, just real.  We all learn a lot from the stories of others.  If you want to tell us a story, and you need some encouragement, send us an email.

Letters to My Younger Self
What did you need to hear when you were younger?  What words of advice did you wish you had received a lot earlier?  What hard-won wisdom do you want to share?  What did your younger self need to know?  Send your letters to Be Real Magazine, and make a difference to us all!  

Journey From Home
Share your travel stories with others!  Write about what you have experienced during your travels.  Everybody loves to read about interesting and exotic adventures to new places.  Your story can be about a far away land, or somewhere closer to home.  What is your personal take on a familiar vacation destination?  Write to us and let us know!
