Dearest Younger Writer Self:

Give the Universe a chance to recognize your writing talent.  Please submit stuff all the time.  Always have this as a goal.  Send something out to someone every week.  Don't worry about being pigeon-holed, just write!  You will spend so many years of your life having hypothetical arguments with yourself about how you don't want to get stuck writing just one type of thing and you will end up not writing much of anything!  That is just plain silly!  Put your pen to paper constantly.  Write and write and write.  Write your way into a dreamy miracle.  Write your way out of problems.  Write yourself a wonderful life.  Imagination is a great thing, but it is 1,000,000% better when it is real!  Imagine yourself signing books and after your daydream is over, go sit down and really write for an hour.  Keep writing, writing, writing and then share it with the world.

Love,
Your Older Wiser Writer Self

to my younger self,

what you want to do with your life is going to change frequently.  the best thing you can do is TRUST that if something excites you RIGHT  NOW then you have to do it!  especially if you don't know why - trust that magic is at play.

love and magic,
your older self

Dear Little One:

Live your life fully and don't let fear stop you.  Don't waste your time being worried. You never know what fate has lurking for you around the corner, you never know how much time you will have.  Use your time wisely … what does that mean, you ask?  It means if you're worried about something, do something about it.  Take some action, make a change.  Don't just stew.

Dearest YS -

Pushing your comfort zone is good.  It feels bad at first, but once you get over the fear keeping you in place, it feels fabulous to succeed.

Brave younger self,

Would you have believed me if I told you that by age 32, you would have lived in 16 different places, had four different careers, and let go of two husbands?  I know, if you did, you would have curled up in your shell and never came out.  The point is, you don't plan your life all at once and only God has the big picture.  Keep trusting that you are doing the right thing.  You always are.  Some moments suck, but overall life is a happy place to be.

Love,
Your Experienced Older Self
