Moody Girl
by Adrienne Medaris

"You're too young to know what love is."
"What do you really know about this guy, anyway?"
"How do you know you can trust him?"

Gee, mom, dad, you're right. How could I possibly love him after only 6 months?
I mean, it took you a lifetime to realize that you loved me, right?

Wrong. You loved me the second you laid eyes on me ~ and I've loved you since the instant I was born.  At 26 seconds "old," I felt love for you ~ but now, at 26 years, you question how well I know him, and whether or not I'm "old" enough to love...

Love isn't about rational thought or maturity. Love isn't a result of years of practice and a stable job.  Love has nothing to do with knowledge of someone's favorite color or their star sign (green, by the way, and Sagittarius).

Love is a connection.
Love is needing.
Love is wanting.

Love is not a choice or a decision.

Am I young?
Ignorant?
Trusting?

Maybe. But I am in love.
So deal with it.
