The Universe Spoke To Me
Introduction
As I was finishing up pages of this magazine and preparing to launch it into the Internet world, I had an urge to go outside and check on my kittens. As I walked into my backyard, I looked up and counted nine hawks circling and soaring above my suburban neighborhood. I see hawks frequently, but I had never before seen them in my area. Goosebumps appeared on my arms as I watched them circle closer until five of them were directly above me.
As a Native American animal totem, Hawk means "a message" or that you are on the right path. I took this to mean that the creation of this magazine was leading me in the right direction.
